In all we do, whether it's writing a blog post, planning a retreat, or speaking at a conference, we intend on Exalting our Lord Jesus through word and deed. 

Encourage.

Through Scripture, prayer, and thoughtfulness, we will Encourage others in the Christian faith and in life. 

Equip.

We will Equip others in learning about Jesus and navigating life through Bible teaching, blog posts, podcasts, retreats, and conferences. 

Our Blog Sites

We have two blog sites dedicated to fulfilling our mission and vision, specifically relating to homeschooling and discipleship despite difficulties. Homeschooling1Child.com and NearYourAltar.com are two related, albeit different sites.

Homeschooling One Child was started in 2018 when I started homeschooling my daughter, Laura. Finding a lack of resources related to homeschooling just one child, I discovered a unique niche in the homeschooling blogging world. It has grown to include families with any number of children--particularly those who have special needs--as homeschooling is the ultimate individualized educational plan. Its new tagline is "all children learn individually, as singletons or multiples." 

Near Your Altar technically started way back in 2005, before I even knew "blogging" was a thing. I'd write encouraging, Scripture-related posts and email them to people who I thought would appreciate them. Later, I created an actual website--thanks to blogging friends and conferences, Near Your Altar has grown to encourage people in the Christian faith all over the world. Because of many difficulties in my personal life (see my testimony here), I made that the focus of this beloved blogsite: to encourage discipleship despite difficulties. 

IAJ Ministries, LLC stands for "It's All Jesus," something I say each time someone thanks me for a great talk or lesson, etc. He provides the lesson, illustrations, and the testimonies behind them. I'm just a vessel, saved by grace, and called to His Service. My name is Terrie McKee, Child of God, Daughter of the Most High King.

It features speakers who are in-the-trenches content creators who will pour their knowledge and wisdom into you, to help you in the many aspects of your business: technical, creative, business, and how-tos. It will also feature speakers who will encourage and inspire you to live your best, Christ-centered, content-creating life despite life's challenges.

Homeschooling Special Needs Expo             In-Person

The Homeschooling Special Needs Expo returns for a second year--this time with three full days of speakers, sessions, and networking to encourage parents homeschooling children who have special needs of many different varieties. The Expo also features 40 exhibitors who specialize in homeschooling and/or special needs.
