What Past Attendees Have Said about the Expo:Thank you for all of your hard work pulling together this tremendous event. It was so needed. The sessions were very informative and the opportunity to talk with vendors/presenters was incredibly helpful...The opportunity to be with others on similar journeys was encouraging and special to me as well. I looked over the crowd at one point and told a friend these folks are survivors....it was a kind of support group feeling for the PTSD of special needs homeschooling/parenting. It was wonderful and I’m so glad I attended. I made my decision at the last minute and again, I am so thankful I attended. I needed so much of the information that was shared - and didn’t know what I needed. ~ Leslie The Homeschooling Special Needs Expo was Amazing! Great vendors and knowledgeable speakers. If you are on the fence like I was about homeschooling or you don't feel like you can, you need to attend this expo. You will leave empowered, uplifted and equipped for your homeschooling journey. You will make connections and gain knowledge on how to better help your child navigate this life. Even if you don't have a child with special needs but you are an Advocate, Teacher, Therapist, Church Ministry Leader, Grandparent etc. this expo is for you. ~ Olivia The event was wonderful and I walked away with a lot of good information. The other attendees were lovely and welcoming and much friendly than other homeschool conferences I have attended. ~ Sara I loved the conference. It helped me to see different ways I can assist my autistic son, but also my neurotypical kids as well. ~ Ashley I have been a homeschooling mom for 6 years. Having 2 special needs kids, it has come with its challenges and frustrations. Especially when the mainstream conferences don’t touch on anything that applies to half of my children. Having a weekend where I didn’t have to explain or defend my children, finding community who are in the thick of it and gaining such incredibly, valuable information was so refreshing. I walked away with a huge list of things I need to do to plan for the future but also a ton of new ideas of things to try during school lessons and outside of it. The special needs community is often forgotten about when we need the help and support more. Thank you for giving us this chance to come together to make new friends, build community and go home with more tools in our toolbox. ~ Stephanie |
